Stay Where You Are is a year-long project in which four artists and writers pause to reflect on the appeal of the local

Friday 20 June 3pm (ends approx 4.30pm)

Showcasing the summer installment of a year-long series of unique seasonal commissions, four multi-award winning makers, all renowned for their wide-ranging travels across the surface of the planet or through the realm of the imagination, pause to reflect on the appeal of the local. Eschewing the far horizon for the close-at-hand, the projects celebrate the pleasures of the small-scale and the virtues of making of the most out of what we have. In this special presentation, artist composer Jem Finer, poet Lavinia Greenlaw, essayist Jay Griffiths and filmmaker Ben Rivers reveal where they are with their projects, which launched at Snape earlier in the year. Keep up with their ongoing dispatches at staywhereyouare.fvu.co.uk.

‘Stay Where You Are’ is curated and produced by Steven Bode of Film and Video Umbrella and Gareth Evans. Supported by Jerwood Charitable Foundation. Film and Video Umbrella is supported by Arts Council England.
